Tour Plan
Pickup from Marrakech at 7:00 am. We will drive for approximately 2 hours through the Atlas Mountains via the Tizi-n-Tichka pass, stopping for photos along the way and visit of Telouet ancient 17th century Kasbah. Then, we will drive in the direction of Ouarzazate where we will visit the Ait Ben Haddou Ksar. We will have lunch here and then visit the Atlas Film Studios. Afterward, we will drive to Skoura, a town that overlooks many other beautiful Kasbahs, in the direction of Dades Valley. The night will be spent at a hotel in Dades Valley.
After the breakfast, we will drive to Tinghir city to explore Todgha Oasis & Gorges and then go to Tinjdad village where we will stop for lunch. After lunch, we will pass through the towns of Erfoud and Rissani In the direction of Merzouga, home of Erg Chebbi, the tallest sand dunes in Morocco. We will arrive at the hotel in the late afternoon/early evening, where you will have some time to relax by the swimming pool and have Berber tea. Around 5:30 pm, we will ride the camels from the hotel for about one hour and a half through the desert dunes. We will arrive at the Berber tents, have some time to relax, drink Berber tea with nomads at the camp, and go over to the dunes to watch the sunset. Dinner will be at the camp, followed by the music around the campfire. Overnight in the Berber tent.
An early wake up to enjoy the sunrise over the highest dunes of Erg Chebbi in Merzouga one of the best moments of the desert, afterward you will ride the camels back to the hotel at the foot hills of Erg Chebbi dunes where you will have a typical breakfast in the hotel followed by a refreshing shower to dust off the sand. Drive back to Marrakech through Alnif, Tazarine, Draa valley, Agdez and Ouarzazate. In Ouarzazate we will have free time for lunch and a photo stop in front of the famous Taourirt Kasbah. Afterward we will continue to Marrakech, where your Merzouga desert experience ends. Crossing again the Atlas Mountains and the Berber villages between Ouarzazate and Marrakech. Drop off at your accommodation in Marrakech.
